Job Costing
Introduction
This tutorial is designed to introduce you to the Job Costing feature of SLICEplus
What you will learn in this session is how to use SLICEplus for job costing
Information on how to set up the software is covered in classes, in the SLICEplus manual, other tutorials, and the F1 function key onscreen help feature
Overview of Job Costing
Job Costing consists of tracking both revenues and expenses for a job
Income and expense accounts need to be enabled for job tracking
When the contract(order) is created you will need to select revenue accounts that are set for job tracking
Through the Payroll button, labor expenses are costed to the job
Through the Production button, materials and equipment are costed to the job

To apply this training, open your own SLICEplus application and minimize this tutorial.  Then maximize the tutorial on your screen.  Follow the tutorial step by step, entering a real bid into your system, creating an order, releasing materials and equipment and entering labor hours, working back and forth between the tutorial and the actual software
